Dear Aachen visitors!
Winter time is coming soon! It´s gettin´ colder, stormier and „weather wise“ real nasty now and then. And, from the physiological point of view, „pressure“ related to YOUR intestines is an expression you might remember whilst staying in Aachen in November or, December when you had a tea or, beer too much…!
This, as the number of „public Johnnies“ has decreased significantly. The city of Aachen used to have an external „infrastructure contractor“ which was in charge to operate the electronic billboards in downtown Aachen.
A tidy place and space to sit downtown
As part of the contract with the former contractor (which is out for more than a year), you could find „operated toilets“, so to speek. For a little coin to insert, you got a clean service to „take a seat without any worries“ if you had „to wash your hands“. If you inserted the coin, the „door to most private and, indeed, appropriately decent spaces in Aachen“ opened. Not only the first look promised not to be disgusted when urgently needing to take a seat. Everything was fine, clean and, you didn´t have to worry to have to go to the doctors after you had come home from a trip in Aachen.
What all Aacheners knew when the old contractor left: there was no chance of any kind of „compensation“ of new „Johnnies“ in sight. And, it certainly will not. At least for the upcoming winter. When it will be “ a fresh and icy one „, the plastic „poop houses“ won´t certainly be an alternative as it will be a freezy business then.
So, one can say „Oh, what a shit – how can I get rid off…“. Well, pharmacies offer diapers for adults which are thin and which are not visible when you walk through Aachen…
